Yuletide Reveal!
Ok, I wasn't quite the last pinch hit in the end, there were like three after me, but still, nearly :) BUT I got three fics written for me, despite being really near the end, in a tearing hurry, one assumes, and I celebrate that! Fantastic!

I got The Worse (or Better) for Wine by Farasha, which is The Philadelphia Story, my favourite film in the whole world, with a beautiful threesome, my favourite threesome - yay!

And I also got Ten Years Later by dear dafnagreer, which is Peep Show, Jez/Mark, and the most perfect unromantic seduction from Jez you could imagine. I mean, the voices, and the jokes, and everything is just spot on perfect in this - brilliant!

And then I ALSO got, as a treat fic It's a Fine Life by C J Marlowe, which is Oliver!, Oliver and the Artful Dodger, a future fic that was so sweet, with such possibilities! I wanted to eat it up with toast!

And THEN there was emmzzi's little perfect three line Merlin fic, DragonLord - hee! That's about all I can say about this one without spoiling it :)

Aren't I lucky? I must admit, being a pinch hit is really not a hardship for me, not at all, we have such lovely people working their dammnedest!

And for those who might want to know what I wrote...

My main assignment: Some Sublimer World for Ennorwen, Byron/Shelley, NC-17. A tale about what might have happened on the banks of Lake Geneva in 1816. I loved writing this, I was actually matched with The Philadelphia Story but the characters requested didn't inspire me, so I shifted. Then in doing the research I just got carried away by how perfect it all was! It really almost wrote itself.

Pinch hit 1: Rule of Three for Kate, Being Human, gen. The gen requirement nearly scuppered me because I tend to slash Mitchell and George, but there was no slash and I had to try writing for Annie and Nina as well? Tricky. Once the fairytales idea occurred to me though, about halfway through the first one - no lie! - it went swimmingly :)

Pinch hit 2: Courtly Love for Nimori, C J Cherryh's Fortress series, Cefwyn/Tristen, PG. The recipient wanted a plotty fic, and I'm very sorry I couldn't oblige, but I didn't have time to cogitate on it properly, sadly. I wrote this in one afternoon on the 23rd Dec. It's a little missing scene from the first book.

Yuletide Treat: Murder Shall Set You Free for Voltaireontoast, The Devil's Whore, gen but with a hint of het. Het! Me! God, I haven't written het for yonks, and in fact I was halfway through this little ficlet on Christmas Eve, before I really realised that it was het I was writing. I suppose I wanted Angelica to get a clue earlier, and so that's where this came from.

So that was my Yuletide! I really love writing, and feeling like I'm part of such a large community. Long may it live!
